We will help you with rental possibilities and tips with a programme booklet available at the accommodation.

You can choose between the small circle and the big circle, depending on how adventurous you are. If you want to shorten the trip, you can take the ferry across, so you can take a break between the two towns. And if you really want to immerse yourself in the world of the lake? Bird reserve

The Lake Tisza Bird Reserve is a special place that preserves the most untouched areas of the lake. It is one of Hungary’s most important wetland habitats, where more than 200 species of birds can be observed, including herons, egrets, egrets and egrets.

The reserve can only be approached by water, so the tour starts by boat or kayak and is a real adventure of discovery. Following the water paths winding through the reed beds, you will discover a whole new side to nature: all is peaceful, the sounds of the world are silent, and only the gentle ripples of the water and the songs of the birds can be heard.

Tours are usually accompanied by a guide who will tell you about the lake’s unique wildlife, the birds that nest here and help you observe them with binoculars. From some of the reserve’s viewpoints you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the aquatic life and, if you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a bald eagle while hunting.

It’s a true wildlife journey into the heart of nature – if you love tranquillity, unique experiences and birdwatching, this is a programme not to be missed!

Fishing

Lake Tisza is a real fishing paradise, where the tranquillity of nature and the thrill of catching fish are in perfect balance. The lake’s varied wildlife promises plenty of prey: carp, catfish, perch and pike can be hooked, but those who prefer more peaceful fishing can also find schools of bream and crucian carp.

Whether you’re casting from a boat or from the tranquillity of the shore, every minute here is a relaxing one. In the early morning mist, the water is still, broken only by the birds searching the reeds. The sun slowly rises on the horizon and you sit, watching, waiting… then suddenly the float moves and the unforgettable moment comes.

If you want to discover the best fishing spots on the lake, hire a boat and paddle out to the more hidden, wild places! And remember: sometimes the best catch isn’t the fish itself, but the experience of the tranquillity of the water’s edge.

Open beaches

Lake Tisza has several excellent outdoor beaches for a refreshing swim. The sandy shore of the nearest beach, in Tiszafüred, is ideal for children, who can swim safely in the shallow water.
By car you can easily reach the beach of Poroszló, where you can rent a water bike and SUP, and the Sarud Adventure Village, with its sandy beach and water playground!
